The family name is welded to one village, but Belles Filles, a lieu dit in Pernand Vergelesses, joined the lineup in 2012 and has quietly become one of the smarter ways into the domaine. Pernand sits up in the cooler hills at the top of the Cote de Beaune, tucked behind the Corton hill, and the whites there run leaner and higher strung than anything grown on the Chassagne flats. That is
