Mono is a viable option for all treble hook baits, and better for sure for those fished subsurface in clear water
The lure can be casted long distances and retrieved quickly or slowly worked through prospective pools, and runs on a short cast with equal efficiency
Skirt thickness, length, shaping, and materials all affect the baits profile, the amount the skirt moves and the color patterns that can be achieved
This is exactly why I fly fish, to solve problems, evolve, match the hatch, and have fun casting
It doesnt have the power of the next setup well talk about, but itll be able to throw the smallest bass lures or larger options with ease, and it can easily switch over to live bait fishing
Keep in mind, that bass will always follow bait, so if you can find bait, then you will definitely find some fish
