Eligible patients in the first year include those with a body mass index (BMI) over 40 and other complicating illnesses such as high blood pressure, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease or type 2 diabetes
Blood work checking vitamin B12, vitamin D, iron, magnesium, and electrolyte levels can help identify any absorption issues that need targeted supplementation
For acne, lower-dose isotretinoin may be appropriate for patients who: Are highly sensitive to side effects Require prolonged treatment Have difficulty tolerating standard doses For GLP-1 medications, lower dosing within approved ranges may be reasonable if a patient is responding well

In addition to the original R1 formulation of 3, 7 and 14mg, there is now a more conservative R2 dosing formulation of 1.5, 4 and 9mg
